CRY London Bridges Walk
7th July 2013
Four Pillars employees along with their friends & families attended this wonderful event hosted by CRY, and joined the record-breaking number of 1,200 walkers, to cross the 7 iconic bridges of London!
It was a scorching day, the hottest of the year and London was absolutely bustling, as Andy Murray was set to play the final at Wimbledon!
We started the walk with all of the other CRY Supporters at Victoria Embankment Gardens and ended the walk near London Bridge. This popular event incorporated 7 of the bridges which cross the Thames and there were some great views of over 12 world famous London Landmarks including; the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye and the Tower of London.
Whilst it was a fun and sociable day for everyone, it was also poignant and at times, simply touching. Wandering around London in our CRY t-shirts, the impact of young, sudden cardiac death was apparent, by the messages on the back of so many t-shirts. It certainly shows how important it is for CRY to receive much needed funds, in order to continue their research, support and raise awareness.
We are delighted to announce that we have raised in excess of £2,000 in sponsorship, although the final number has not been confirmed.
