The Old Boathouse - Bar and Restaurant Launches February 2008
Opening February 2008, The Old Boathouse gastropub is the latest addition to the Cotswold Water Park, situated in an enviable position overlooking the picturesque lakes. The pub will serve restaurant quality, locally produced food in a relaxing and traditional environment, yet will still provide the comfort and peace for a quiet drink with friends or a catch-up with the newspaper.Seating up to 80 people indoors and 80 on the outside terrace, the pub has been sympathetically designed to give each diner and drinker their space and privacy. In summer, the terrace will be perfect for topping up tans and watching the local wildlife on the lake.
Contemporary Setting for Foodies to Enjoy
Award-winning pub manager Darren Hales joins The Old Boathouse from Worcestershire where his restaurant-pub was named 2007 regional Pub of the Year, and also featured in the 07/08 AA Pick of the Pubs guide. He comments; “The Old Boathouse will provide a contemporary setting for ‘foodies’ to enjoy seasonal, traditional fare without the formality of a restaurant. The building boasts a natural Cotswold stone interior, inkeeping with the surrounding area, and exudes natural warmth and a welcoming atmosphere. At its heart, it is still a ‘local’ and we will strive to maintain the balance between dining, socialising and relaxing with a pint”.What's in a name?
The name of the pub has been chosen to reflect both its beautiful lakeside setting, and the classic décor within. The dishes on offer will where possible make best use of local produce from meat to fish to vegetables, and the premium beers and beverages will include a large local offering from wines to real ales to ciders.Find out more about The Old Boathouse Pub in the Cotswold Water Park near Cirencester.
