Four Pillars Hotels have teamed up with Oxford Philomusica to offer a weekend break with a difference. Not only do you get to stay in one of our four star Oxford properties but you also get to enjoy a concert - Beethoven’s Triple Concerto in C Major and Symphony No 5 in C Minor.

Staying at either Oxford Spires or Oxford Thames, on the weekend of 1st & 2nd June 2012 your Classical Weekend Break includes;

Friday 1st June

Saturday 2nd June

  • Concert at the Sheldonian Theatre, Oxford

Beethoven’s Triple Concerto is tailor-made for the ‘in-house’ talents of the Philomusica as Music Director Marios Papadopoulos is joined by the Orchestra’s principal string players. The composer’s best known symphony is guaranteed to bring the concert to an exhilarating end.

 

Oxford Philomusica

Oxford Philomusica is Oxford's Professional Symphony Orchestra. Founded in 1998 by Music Director, Marios Papadopoulos, it has a growing national and international reputation.

Besides its core activity of a comprehensive season of concerts in Oxford, the Thames Valley, London and beyond, OP's activities include the annual International Piano Festival & Summer Academy, a Residency at the University of Oxford, and an active and extensive community programme. We are Orchestra in Association at the new Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
